As reported by many media, dozens of high school and vocational school principals in North Aceh district claimed to be frequently visited by a person claiming to be a journalist. The man with the initials AB, it is said, often asks for a sum of money on the grounds of advertising costs with a nominal value of Rp. 3 million to Rp. 15 million.
According to Kacabdin to the media, the man often acts with the mode of asking for advertisements. If the school did not serve him, he threatened to write that there were irregularities in the use of BOS funds. “That smells of slander and harms the school. Therefore we convey this action to the public,” Yamani told reporters in Lhokseumawe, Saturday (3/8/2024).
The behavior of the person made the principals uncomfortable and reported it to the Service Branch. The official there reported that the person often threatened to report the management of school operational assistance funds (BOS) in all schools which he called not transparent.
Not only that, Yamani and a number of principals will also report the man to the police. “In order to have a deterrent effect. We are also good friends with many journalists. In the decades we have been friends, we have never met such a person,” he said.
